Engine Mechanical problem

2005 Ford E-Series Van  V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic



I recently took my Ford Van to Pep Boys of all places.

I know. i know. Anyway... they are telling me that my "Steering gearbox is leaking oil" and that the vehicle will not pass inspection.

I have not heard of this before.



Is this a legitimate issue?

Would like a second opinion before I spend $400 to fix it.
