Ford E-Series Van Repair Question :: 1988 Ford E-Series Van  No power

Electrical problem

1988 Ford E-Series Van  6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic unknwn miles

My van would not start after getting gas at a station. No power, no lights, no buzzing with the key in and door open.

I did measure 12.53 volts across the +,- terminals of the battery with a digital voltmeter.

This problem had happened minutes before in a parking lot, where I pushed the van backwards about 20 feet, then touched the leads on the jumper cables to check for spark. It sparked and the van had power again. The van then ran about 7 minutes until I turned it off to get the gas.

Where should I Start looking to fix this issue?

I have another vehicle to get around but will need this van by Wednesday... A fairly quick response would be appreciated.  Also, I used to work as a tire and lube tech so am not afraid to get my hands dirty to fix this problem...

Thanks in advance for the help!
