Engine Cooling problem

2006 Chrysler Town and Country  4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 54000 miles

Twice today while driving the temperature gauge neelde rose towards the H, about halfway between the mid-point and the H then immediatley returned to normal temp. Just want to know if this is normal or should I have it checked? It's my only car and I'm afraid to drive it. thanks so much for your time.
