Chrysler Town and Country Repair Question :: 2002 Chrysler Town and Country  Engine stalling

Engine Mechanical problem

2002 Chrysler Town and Country  6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 217000 miles

My van starts and idles fine. but when I put it in gear (forward or reverse) the engine stalls. It does not stall, however, when I put it in neutral. If I let the car warm up for a really long time (approx. 15 min) I can put it in gear and it is just fine. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ARE COMING ON. I just got a tune up within the last week (new plugs, wires, and a new fuel filter) and it still stalls. I took it to get diagnostics, and the machanic said everything was fine and no sensors indicated any problems. Obviously, there's a problem. I think it's the torque converter. Any Thoughts?
