Engine Performance problem

2003 Chrysler Town and Country  6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 180000 miles

As of yesterday, my van decided it would only start when it wanted to. We had the starter, ignition and the relay checked- no problems there. If you let the van sit for a while- miraculously it starts again. Power goes to the starter- but nothing happens (other than some dashboard lights light up)..Side note* the battery was out of water-and we re-filled it* but lights come on and everything- and when it decides its time- it starts.Like I said- this happened yesterday- but the van ran again last night and then today, then-this afternoon-it decided to play dead again. No error codes read anywhere-Help help
