Electrical problem

2000 Chrysler Town and Country  6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 115000 miles

when car gets warm ,say after 25 miles of driving, the turn signals do not work. My wife drives this van all the time. when i told her what happened when i drove she simply said turn the key off and restart the car and the signals work again???!!! well 9 out of 10 it does but why? I have somewhat knowledge of vehicle maintainance, so u understand i just dont take car into dealership every time something goes wrong
