Electrical problem

1997 Chrysler Town and Country  6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 220000 miles



I have a 97 t & c and the dash lights go on but the van wont start at all when the hood is open you hear a ticking sound when turning the ignition key and also the ign sw fuse #40 keeps blowing out please help trying to save my baby.....
