Noises problem

2005 Chevy Uplander  6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 57000 miles

My uplander has a automatic sliding rear door. The cable has disconnected and the safety chime will not shut off. The dealership where I bought it is not open for two days and I need to drive the car. I can get the door to open and close manually but the chime will not stop.

I had an odd problem with a 2004 Venture where when it sat under high intensity lights it screwed up the dash stuff and the security and radio would no longer work. Took it to Kragen and they said the high intensity lamps in parking lots can cause this. The fix was to unhook the battery for a few minutes to allow the computer to reset.
